Community Educators & Teachers
Welcome to the Reach Center’s website, teachers of all subjects, in and out of school! As the people who work directly with students every day, you’re also great talent scouts. Do you see a student who enjoys hands-on projects, asks questions about offbeat topics, or loves math? As we build on the knowledge gained from our pilot programs and from our many partners, to develop STEM Hubs with Guides to help these young people find paths to explore their scientific interests, we’d really appreciate you linking these students with us–and we hope they appreciate it too.
Partners are a key element of everything the Reach Center does. We work closely with many organizations throughout Maine.
Each of the STEM programs students connect with through the Reach Center’s Resource Bank or STEM Guides is supported by existing organizations and community educators. If your organization connects kids with STEM and you want to connect with Reach and/or be listed in the Resource Bank, contact us.
Sharing resources is a big part of the Reach Center’s mission, with a focus on the out-of-school science and math opportunities available in Maine. For in-school curriculum ideas, the Maine Mathematics and Science Alliance is a great place to start.
How can the Reach Center be of use to you? Let us know!
